VIACOM CBS MERGER (WSJ)

Over a decade after splitting into companies, Viacom and CBS come back together in a $30 billion deal, which both parties hope will better position the new entity to compete in a changing media market.

ViacomCBS Inc will have networks CBS, Showtime, MTV, VH1, and BET among the plethora of entertainment options under their umbrella. The combined company should be able to expand its demographic reach under the new model.
